This is a large, richly pigmented black and tan male. He is confident and has a keen, alert expression. His head is clean cut and strong, and his jaws are deep. His skull is just a shade rounded. This dog has excellent bone and strong feet. I prefer a dog shorter in the loin and just slightly firmer in the back. I especially like his excellent forequarters and well angulated, powerful hindquarters. His croup is long and smoothly sloping. It all comes together for this dog when he starts to move. His gait is outreaching, elastic and smooth. The motion is effortless. An extremely well-built dog and a strong contender for the Breed.
